Symphony

Description

Emma has always been making music, but somewhere in 2020 she began intentionally spending time at the piano creating music that she could sing and play again later. And then the rest of us would find ourselves humming these new tunes throughout the rest of the day. She was clearly exhibiting a musical gift, and a love for music making.

So one day, while visiting our friend Jesse Sprinkle at his studio, Bluebrick Recordings, I asked if we could record a bit of Emma’s creations. (The first recording was a blast! It’s included as a bonus with this album.) And from there, Emma kind of musically exploded!

She “wrote” a new song (the first one on this album) before she could actually even play the guitar! She played the song for me while strumming (without chords) a very out-of-tune guitar. We played that for “Mr. Sprinkle” and he loved it. I think from that point on, he was hooked on making Emma’s music, too!

Then we kept at it all through the year 2021, whenever we could fit in a trip to East Avon. Emma had a blast making music with Mr. Sprinkle (and her dad) and Mr. Sprinkle added his abundance of musical gifts and experience to bring all of Emma’s music to life.

And now in April of 2022, here is Emma’s first three-song collection!
